Before:

Our board had reached that point. We had several extensions, each adding a useful link to the Quick-links section of the main navbar. Things like our Download System, the Ultimate Shop, and even a direct link to our Deskflow support tickets were all crammed into the same row. It made the navigation bar stretch horizontally, sometimes even wrapping on smaller screens, and it was just visually overwhelming. New members would often ask where to find things, even if the link was technically there, just because it was lost in the crowd.

The Solution: dmzx Ext Navbar

We needed a way to organize these links without hiding them in sub-menus that users wouldn't discover. The dmzx Ext Navbar extension was the perfect fit. What it does is simple but incredibly effective: it adds a second navigation bar row, styled exactly like your main one, but designed specifically for extensions to add their links to. This instantly declutters your primary Quick-links section.

Installation and Impact:

Installation was straightforward, as with all dmzx extensions. We just uploaded the files and enabled it via ACP → Customise → Manage extensions. It just provides the canvas.

Once Ext Navbar was active, the links from compatible extensions automatically shifted to this new, dedicated row. For extensions that don't automatically use it, you can sometimes adjust their settings (if they have an option to choose their navbar placement) or, for those comfortable with template editing, manually move the link to the new dedicated template event that Ext Navbar provides.
