Here's a quick checklist to get your mChat buzzing with dmzx mChat Reactions and dmzx mChat GIF Picker:

• Step 1: Install mChat (if you haven't already!)
  • If your board doesn't have it yet, download and install dmzx mChat. This is the foundation for everything else.
  • Go to ACP → Customise → Manage extensions.
  • Look for mChat under the Disabled Extensions list, and click its Enable link.
  • Head over to ACP → Extensions → mChat to configure your basic shoutbox settings like Display mChat on the index page and Refresh interval.

  • Download the dmzx mChat Reactions extension. This allows users to add emoji reactions to mChat messages.
  • Upload the `mchatreactions` folder to `ext/dmzx/` in your phpBB root.

  • Now, navigate to ACP → Extensions → mChat / mChat Reactions / Reactions.

  • Upload the `mchatgifpicker` folder to `ext/dmzx/` in your phpBB root.
  • Open the `config/services.yml` file within the `mchatgifpicker` folder and paste your GIPHY API key under `mchatgifpicker.giphyapikey`.
  • In ACP → Customise → Manage extensions, find mChat GIF Picker and click Enable.
  • Ensure that `Allow [img] BBCode` is enabled under ACP → Board configuration → Post settings, as GIFs are sent as `[img]` BBCode messages.
• Step 5: Test and Enjoy!
  • Visit your mChat on the forum frontend. You should now see a GIF button in the toolbar and the option to react to messages.
  • Try searching for a GIF and sending it. Add a few reactions to messages.
