Wiki Core Reference

Post by dmzx »

Extension Name: Wiki Core Reference

Author: dmzx

Extension Description:
A phpBB core reference inside the Wiki extension: import a phpBB release ZIP and every PHP and template event is listed, compared between versions and annotated.

- Import an official phpBB release ZIP in the ACP: uploaded in parts, or placed in `store/dmzx_wikicore/`; nothing is extracted to disk
- The ZIP is checked first: phpBB version, folder, number of files and its SHA-256
- Every PHP event (read with phpBB's own event exporter) and template event is listed
- A page per event: description, variables per version, the file and line per version with a link to GitHub, changes, a listener skeleton, a code example per release and the enabled extensions that use it
- Compare two releases: removed, new and moved events, changed variables, replacements for removed events and deprecations
- Extension check for the enabled extensions or an uploaded ZIP: variables that are read, handled or not used
- Notes on events stay when a newer release is imported
- `core.user_setup` links to the event with a badge per imported version
- Needs the Wiki extension, enabled first
