Go to your Private Message inbox, then on the left side towards the bottom you are looking for the link "Rules, folders & settings" clicking this will take you to a section where you can create rules, here you can create a rule to automatically delete messages from certain users and thus blocking them :)

Hello,

Thank you very much.

Personal Area Question

Friends and Ignored Members

Manage Ignored Members

Ignored members can still send you private messages.

Please, what code do I need to change, and where, so that ignored members can no longer send private messages?

Sorry I have never used the option, I am sure you can figure it out :)

To block a specific user or users, add them in your Foe list.
Go into your UCP and select the Friends and Foes tab. Then select the Manage foes link.
Add that user in the Add new foes: list and Submit.

Go into your PM page and click the Rules, folders and settings link.
And under the Add New Rule select If: Sender and click Next
Then select Is foe and click Next, Then select Delete message and click Add Rule

After that you just add more users in your UCP as a Foe. They will all be blocked from sending you a message.

When an ignored user sends a private message, the link to "Private Messages" shows that it's a new message.

However, when you open the link, it says: "A private message has been removed due to your rules."

Since I don't know which files to look at or which code needs to be added to prevent ignored users from sending private messages,
I'm wondering why the "Manage Ignored Members" link is still displayed.

Where is the setting for blocking opponents in mchat configured?
